A Little Bit About Me
Hello - thank you for stopping by and hopefully reading my profile! I really don’t like talking about me (I can be quite shy), but I guess in order for this to work, I have to give you an idea of what I am like to help you decide if you think I might possibly be someone you would be interested in getting to know better. So where shall I start?
I am fairly independent and self sufficient, but I would like someone to share life with – the ups, the downs, and all the adventures. I enjoy the odd duvet day every now and then to recharge, but generally like to be doing things (visiting friends/relatives, fencing, white water rafting, baking, reading, listening to music, going to the gym, playing games) it doesn’t really matter what it is – I just like to keep myself busy.
I like London, and everything that comes with a city – access to everything, and such a variety of things on offer (concerts, restaurants, markets, exhibitions, architecture, the list is endless!). However I also like to escape to the middle of nowhere. I love being surrounded by nature and enjoy weekends away from the hustle and bustle. I find being by the sea, or surrounded by the scenery of the dales, to be very calming for the soul.
Ideally I’d like to be able to time travel (I am fascinated by ancient civilisations), but in the absence of a tardis, I like exploring different cultures and trying new experiences. I’ve had holidays in Europe (Pompeii is one of the best places I visited, but the Monaco Grand Prix is one of my best experiences ever), America, Dubai, Sri Lanka, and Mauritius, but would really like to take some time out and go somewhere I could really explore – New Zealand or South America maybe – I’m open to suggestions!
I am passionate about my area of work, and as I need to be very assertive in my role, I tend to be very laid back and easy going outside of work (apart from when my competitive streak takes over), allowing others to make the decisions (unless I strongly object). However, that does not mean I am a complete push over, and I have no qualms about sharing/expressing my opinions.
I do respect and appreciate my religious upbringing, but having been brought up in England does mean I am westernised, so I am fairly liberal and open minded. Whilst I thoroughly enjoy cooking and entertaining (I have my own house which is great for this), I have not mastered the art of Indian cuisine (I have my mum for that), and while I am capable of dressing up when the occasion requires it, I don’t enjoy spending hours on hair, makeup, nails etc, so if you are looking for a traditional girl then it is not me.

What I Am Looking For
I genuinely am attracted to people’s personalities rather than their appearance. If you are someone who thinks you could make me feel at ease, encourage and support me, teach and challenge me, accept me and respect my opinions, and most importantly make me laugh, then there is a good chance that I will also then find you attractive!
I don’t need a person to have the same hobbies/interests as me, but I think it is important that we share the same values and ethics, so if from looking at my profile you think we could be on similar wavelengths it would be great to hear from you!
There are some traits in people which I find important, and some of these are sincerity, honesty, and loyalty. I struggle with people who are jealous, spiteful, arrogant, vain, and continually worry about what others think. If this is part of your personality, then we probably will not get along too well.
I am looking for someone who would like to have children in their life at some point. However I am not looking to get married until I am sure that we are well suited to each other. I know that the best way to find out about someone is to meet, but I would prefer to communicate by messages through the site before sharing my details.
I really would like to hear from you even if you think there is the smallest chance that we could get along - if we don't try we can never succeed!
